Yuki wasn't born in a boardroom. It was born at home.

My father has spent over 30 years in the loose diamond industry. Growing up, I watched him handle diamonds the way most people handle everyday objects, with complete familiarity, with an eye that could spot quality instantly, with knowledge that takes decades to build. He later moved into jewelry manufacturing for international markets, and I grew up watching that world from the inside.

My mother, meanwhile, collected. Not obsessively but thoughtfully. Piece by piece, over years. She has a beautiful collection, and what always struck me about it wasn't the value. It was that she actually wore it. Every day. She never saved her jewelry for special occasions. 

I grew up in a home where diamonds weren't intimidating. They were just part of life. When I decided to start Yuki at 25, I had something most people building a jewelry brand don't have: exposure. 

But I didn't start this on instinct alone. Before Yuki, I spent three months at BDB learning diamond assorting, grading, clarity, cut, the details that actually determine what a stone is worth.

Then six months learning jewelry manufacturing from scratch, including time at the bench myself, polishing pieces by hand, so I'd understand the craft, not just direct it. I've walked the exhibition floors in Hong Kong, Vegas, and Vicenza, seeing what the best in the world are making, and what buyers actually respond to. I understood the creative side of this business. I knew the product inside out. All that was left was turning it into a real business.

Yuki is a boutique diamond jewellery store in Santacruz West, Mumbai. Everything we carry is real: 18K gold, certified diamonds, colour stones, handcrafted with care. No plating, no shortcuts, nothing that loses its shine by next season.

We make pieces that are simple, edgy, and wearable every day. Pieces that become part of how you show up in the world. Walking into Yuki is the opposite of walking into most jewellery stores. There are no glass counters that make you feel like you can't touch anything. No salesperson hovering. No pressure.

Every customer gets my personal attention- whether you're spending Rs.20,000 or Rs.20 lakhs. I'll sit with you, understand what you're looking for, show you what we have, and be completely honest about what works and what doesn't. If I think something doesn't suit you, I'll tell you.
